Some things become important not for their presence but by their absence, by the vacuum, by the hole left in the soul. Such is the case of a loved one, one's home, the company of a pet ... When we study the life of the creature that lived millions of years ago, we do it through the hole left in the mud that talks about their environment, their food, their way of life.
Images of people looking for others in the rubble, reading endless lists of victims, looking for their pets, their most intimate and sacred objects, the most wanted in their lives ... People walking through the rubble... always the same images on TV screens, in newspaper photographs; it is the desperation to replace the torn out part of the soul, something that will last long months, years, sometimes forever.
